Welcome to the website of our Chambre d'hôtes “Ancienne Gendarmerie” in Cadouin. Our small and cozy bed and breakfast is an excellente starting point to discover the Dordogne. We are located in the medieval village of Cadouin (with its abby classified as world heritage by UNESCO), which is situated in the Pays des Bastides, on the border of the Périgord Noir (in the south-east of the Dordogne) and the Périgord Pourpre (in the south-west). We are near Bergerac and Sarlat, only 30 minutes away and you can reach Perigueux in 45 minutes.

On the following pages we want to describe you our spacious and nicely priced rooms as well as the other (common) areas in our over 400 years old house. Also, we, Jan Stravers and Diana Lopulalan, want to introduce ourselves briefly to you. We as well want to introduce you to the area in which we live, the Dordogne, and give you an impression of the activities you can engage. Finally we proudly inform you that we are recommended by Le Routard, Michelin (Guide Vert) and The RoughGuides.
